If you're using WP Rocket for caching, minimization, and lazy loading, you'll want to adjust the following settings to optimize its performance:
1. On the File Optimization tab, enable the following options:
- Minify HTML
- Remove Query Strings from Static Resources
- Minify CSS Files
- Optimize CSS Delivery
- Minify Javascript Files
- Load Javascript Deferred
- Safe Mode for jQuery
2. On the Media tab, turn on Enable for images.
We typically recommend going with the default options elsewhere. However, if you don't see a performance improvement using Google PageSpeed Insights, it's worth testing some of those other options to see if they might help.
If you turn on the Combine CSS files and/or the Combine Javascript files options, we'll want to keep an eye on your disk space, as sometimes the cache size can grow out of control with those options on.
As always, shoot us an email if you run into any issues or want us to watch the disk space for any signs of trouble!
