In order to directly upload files to your server, rather than through WordPress, you will need to use an application that supports SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol). We recommend Cyberduck because it supports SFTP and FTPS, both of which are more secure than the older FTP.
To upload and manage the files on your server:
- Launch your FTP program.
- Open a connection and select "SSH File Transfer Protocol" (or specify port 22).
- Log in using your server hostname, username and password. (This information can be found in your Welcome email. Contact support if you need it re-sent!)
Upload Limit
The standard upload limit is 10 MB. If you need to upload large files, Contact support to have your upload limit adjusted.
Giving a Third Party Access
Give third party access to your server without sharing your login details by following these steps.
